Devil dreams

This is my entry for the equine dreams second annual contest by WrenStormbringer

I had planned entering for a long time now, but didn't have any ideas. Inspiration from Nightwish- highest hopes- the best of nightwish; listened to it over and over, until I finished.
The scanner ruined the colors, so I played a little around with settings in photoshop to get them normal again.

The theme for the contest is equine dreams, well this is sort of an equine nightmare, but it's fantasy, so I hope its all right. The story behind this is that the mine( as you can see left behind the horse) is a sort of entrance to hell. The horse is the devil/Satan in horse shape. If you notice he doesn't have any ears, it's right. I didn't want him to have ears, I tought since he was the devil in horse shape he couldn't be just a regular horse, he needed something special, therefore the color etc... The perspective is kind of special too...

Made with watercolor pencils, and a little bit water on brown regular textured paper-
